"Without a queen the locust swarm
Turned the ground to black,
Descending like a shadowy tower opon a fish's back.
And scattered the sticks who crawled
Like snakes in the sand,
As the red clay took the form of a lizard,
Who rushed like a moth to the flame of my open hand

(My little world...in my sad little world...)

Then a speckled bird humbly inspired
Ran across the road when it could have flown,
And it made me smile.
And at the water's edge, Babylon;
As we lay and slept,
The river wept for you, Zion!
The stones cry out,
Bells shake the sky!
All of creation groans...

SHHHH!

Listen to it!"

My niece's 2nd birthday party got a little out of control. She had a bit too much to drink and things got violent. She really needs to get some help.

This is my first attempt at shooting anything like this. I had a blast and I'm kinda suprised with how well everything turned out. We have plans to shoot again next week.

My niece is already developing a serious obsession with shoes at the tender age of 2.

After spending time at my sister's place I went on a hike with composer/genius Gabe Salo. I couldn't be happier that fall is here.

S.A.T.U.R.D.A.Y. Night.

I've taken this photo before.

Weird Beard

The all seeing eyes are always watching to see what's going on in Colin's apartment.

The all seeing eyes in one frame, a ghost in the other.

The floor loves the ska.

I forget this dude's name.

Colin looks like a spy

pre-professionals:

I spent Wednesday evening at Vendetta with my camera, a vodka tonic, and a friend. Not only does that bar have the coolest name ever, they have pretty good mac and cheese too.

Driving home on Powell BLVD.

I spent yesterday evening with Colin doing what we do best: taking photos and talking about everything from relationships to politics to various social issues. One thing he said struck me and I can't stop thinking about it. We were standing under the Freemont Bridge in the industrial area of North Portland and he looked up and said "This is so huge. Men built this and we're just taking photos of it." Think about it.

He's moving to Austin Texas in a few weeks and I'm gonna miss him when he's gone. He's a good man and one of the only photographers i know who is super skilled at what he does yet doesn't turn it into a pissing contest.

I edited these photos while listening to:
